Bishop's Castle, July 2009 On our way back from the Crestone/Needle/Humboldt climb, Dave and I stopped at Bishop's Castle.  Thats me standing near the entrance.  The full castle in all its post-apocalyptic glory. You can see the beginnings of a new mote to surround the Castle that Jim Bishop has been working on.  Good shot of the scaffolding.  The platform inside that geodesic looking ball wags around when people walk on it and it feels like you're going to fall.  Rumor has it this giant dragon head which adorns the peak of the cathedral doubles as a flame thrower.  Looking down on the golf ball from the tallest tower.  Say hi to Dave.
